Stripped an old tub surround down to the studs and rebuilt the shower from scratch — new waterproofing, heated floor, large-format porcelain on the walls, and a linear drain with proper slope.
Craft detail
Slope is everything on a curbless shower. We pitched the entire floor at a quarter inch per foot and lapped the membrane six inches up every wall before any tile went down.
Handmade zellige tile from floor to ceiling in a compact guest bath. Every tile is slightly different in color and texture — the whole point is that it looks alive, not factory-stamped.
Craft detail
You can't just pull zellige out of the box and start setting. We opened every carton, sorted for tone, then dry-laid the full wall on the floor first and numbered the rows so the blend came out even.
Natural stone herringbone pattern across the full backsplash, with mitered returns at the window and end caps. Coordinated with the countertop crew so tile and stone met tight.

We templated after cabinets were hung and before the counters dropped — that way every tile-to-counter joint is clean with no caulk lines thicker than a credit card.
Complete primary bathroom overhaul with floor-to-ceiling tile, a floating vanity wall niche, and a walk-in shower with built-in bench and recessed shelving.

The niche and bench had to be perfectly level and plumb or they'd look off forever. We framed them in, waterproofed, then set tile so the grout lines carried through seamlessly from the surrounding wall.
